He consistently embraced complex and often overlooked medical cases—patients frequently considered beyond the scope of conventional treatment. Through their remarkable recoveries, he demonstrated the practical efficacy and healing potential of his approach. Motivated by these consistent outcomes, driven by his clinical experiences and consistent patient recoveries, he delved into deeper research to uncover the underlying principles of healing; ultimately recognizing energy as the core principle that governs the body’s innate capacity to restore and regenerate.
He preserved the original essence of ancient wisdom of Siddhars and Yogis, and systematically formulating a modern scientific framework of energy and its bodily functions. From this he compiled the energy anatomy, energy physiology, energy pathology and pharmacokinetic of the human energy system. This exploration ultimately culminated in the development of Human Energy Medicine—a groundbreaking paradigm that continues to offer renewed hope where it was once thought unattainable in many areas.
The late Prof. Dr RS Himeshwari was deeply fascinated by the potential synergy between different medical systems. during her reign as Chairperson of the Board of Studies at TMGRMU, she spearheaded the efforts to inculcate Human Energy Medicine (HEM) into mainstream medicine syllabus, paving the way for a more comprehensive approach.
Through her insistence, he has bestowed his life time works on ‘Human Energy Medicine’ to the Post Graduation studies in Yoga and Naturopathy (MD in Acupuncture and Energy Medicine) affiliated to ‘The Tamil Nadu DR MGR Medical University, Chennai.
A Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on Acupuncture and Energy Medicine was conducted during Nov 2018 at The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University. During this event, Dr KP Gunaaneethi was honoured with the title of 'Father of Human Energy Medicine.'
